In July 2010, Mr. Kofi Vinyo, Chief Executive Officer of Kofi Vinyo Company Limited, demonstrated his commitment to community welfare by donating ten 24-inch television sets, valued at GH¢2,000, to the Sunyani Regional Hospital. This initiative aimed to improve the patient experience, recognising that access to television can aid in the healing process by providing entertainment and a sense of normalcy during hospital stays.
Upon visiting the hospital, Mr. Vinyo observed that only staff had access to television sets. Motivated by this observation, he decided to extend this amenity to patients, underscoring the company’s dedication to social responsibility. Mr. Vinyo emphasised that providing patients with television access could facilitate their recovery and pledged ongoing support to the hospital.
The Head of Administration at the hospital, Mr. Abraham Asare-Bediako, received the donation and commended the company for its thoughtful contribution. This act of generosity not only enhanced the hospital environment but also highlighted the positive impact of corporate social responsibility on community health and well-being.
